It is the result of the experience and emotions of two agri-food production companies in the Matelica area: the Cantine Belisario and the Cooperativa Apicoltori Montani. In memory and in the search for healthy food and wine hedonism, a new way of thinking and making wine has been developed, combining the magic of the alcoholic fermentation of the must with the sweetening power of honey.

Verdicchio must from Matelica and “Melata Honey” from the Matelica hills. This synergy has created a new product that takes the characterization of Mediterranean aromatic harmonies to extremes: the structural body of Verdicchio di Matelica and the complex sensorial fragrance of high hill honey. Melitites is a sweet, structured, warm, harmonious, soft but never cloying wine, rich in the primary and secondary aromas of Verdicchio and rich in the sensorial roundness of Matelica honey. It can face demanding aging in the bottle.

It is a wine for dry and powerful cheeses, for desserts, for meditation and chatting, for smoking and music, a midnight wine that, with the authority of a millennia-old wine, can satisfy and accompany the pleasures of a sweet wine and powerful.
